LANGEBAAN – Two initiatives, Loaves of Love and The Crown Keepers, have joined forces to support vulnerable families, empower women and young girls, and strengthen communities across the West Coast.
The partnership was celebrated at a high tea at the Langebaan Yacht Club on Wednesday 21 October, where 27 women gathered for a fun and beautiful day of women celebrating one another.
Livia van As of Loaves of Love said the initiatives shared a vision of bringing hope to those in need while creating opportunities for women to grow.
“Loaves of Love is a vision God placed on my heart to bring hope, nourishment and dignity to those in need, while The Crown Keepers is Mariette Vorster’s inspiration to uplift and empower women,” she said.
Through food support, mentorship, skills development and encouragement, the initiatives aim to help vulnerable families and create opportunities for women and young girls.
Van As believes that no child should go hungry and no woman should feel that her dreams do not matter, and with this initiative this is what they want to achieve.
Mariette Vorster of The Crown Keepers said the partnership demonstrated the value of women supporting and celebrating one another. “Every woman has her own unique story, challenges, and dreams, and we don’t need to share the same path to celebrate each other’s victories,” she said.
Vorster said the vision was to create a safe, empowering space where women could recognise one another’s potential and turn their dreams into reality.
The initiatives plan to expand their outreach and establish further partnerships with local businesses and community members.
