Grab those running shoes because entries for the annual Mykonos Half Marathon are open.

Club Mykonos Multisport presents the annual event on Saturday 7 October. Runners and walkers who feel they are not fighting fit or up for the 21 km route can enter the 10 km run or 5 km fun run at the Club Mykonos Restort in Langebaan.

There will also be plenty of food stalls and entertainment to keep the little ones busy so be sure to bring the whole family. The 21 km and 10 km start at 08:00, while the fun run will start at 08:10. All three events are suitable for walkers, and the fun run route is also safe and suitable for small children to participate.

Entries can be done online at www.entrytime.com, or at the Athene Conference Centre between 06:30-07:45.

Late entries at the venue will be cash only.

Entry fees are R140 (R200 for unlicensed athletes) for the 21,1 km, R100 for the 10 km (R150 unlicensed athletes) and R40 for the fun run.

The minimum age for the half marathon is 16 years old, and 14 years old for the 10 km. Proof of age may be requested on race day.
