Only one week to go for the Mykonos Half Marathon.

Participants have been geared up for the 10 km and 5 km fun run that takes place on Saturday, 8 October at Club Mykonos in Langebaan. The race is organised and presented by Club Mykonos Multisport in conjunction with Club Mykonos Resort.

The event starts and finishes at Club Mykonos in Langebaan. The 21 km and 10 km events start at 08:00, while the 5 km fun run will start at 08:10. All three events are suitable for walkers as well.

Entries for the 21 km and 10 km can only be done online at www.entryninja.com/events. Online entries close on Monday 3 October.

Entries for the 5 km fun run can be done at the venue on the day of the race between 06:30 and 07:50.

Registration and number collection will be on Friday 7 October from 16:00 to 20:00 and Saturday 8 October from 06:30 at the Athene Conference Centre at the Club Mykonos resort.

Entry fees are R120 for the 21,1 km, R80 for the 10 km and R30 for the 5km fun run. If you are not a member of a running club then you will have to purchase a temporary license number.

The cost for the temporary licences is R50 for the 21 km and R40 the 10 km. No licence necessary for the 5 km fun run.

All athletes finishing the half marathon and 10 km will receive a medal, whereas the first 300 in the fun run will receive medals.

There are also great spot prizes up for grabs, which include boat trips, Sky Park tickets and the big price – a weekend for four at the Club Mykonos resort.
