Night’s canvas on the dark water of the Port Owen Marina: Thousands of lights make dark water sparkly

Stephanie Ash caught this image at night at the Port Owen Marina. It reminds one of the poem, “Night’s Canvas”, in which Connny Benedetto, the poet, writes about a thousand lights in liquid dreams . . . “Blues and greens, a shifting, vibrant hue – reflecting buildings, old and ever new . . . Dance on the surface, where the shadows hide. Stars above, in silent majesty, add points of light to the watery decree. A silent ballet, this watery show, where colours swirl and softly come and go.” Readers are invited to send their photos, taken on the West Coast, to weslander@novusmedia.co.za.
