Rotary Bethlehem has joined forces with Grain Carries and Grain Care’s Winter Blanket Drive, donating blankets to bring warmth and comfort to vulnerable members of the community during the colder months.
The initiative, launched under the theme “Share Warmth, Spread Hope”, seeks to provide winter relief to those in need.
To maximise the impact of the campaign, Grain Care has pledged to match every blanket donated on a one-for-one basis, effectively doubling each contribution received.
Rotary Bethlehem said the project is a worthwhile community initiative and the organisation was pleased to support the cause through its donation.
The organisation said collaborative efforts such as these can make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families facing difficult circumstances during winter.
Members of the public are encouraged to participate in the blanket drive by making their own donations.
Through the combined support of local organisations, businesses and residents, the campaign aims to ensure that more people are kept warm throughout the winter season.
Blankets can be dropped off at Grain Carries Bethlehem at the diesel depot, Preekstoel Road, Bethlehem.
