A contender from Kroonstad, Dr Maesala Manis, shines as a semifinalist in the Mrs South Africa 2025 beauty pageant.
Manis, originally from Heilbron, is making waves as a contestant in the esteemed pageant which is not just a beauty contest, but a platform that empowers women to harness their leadership and communication skills. As such, Manis is ready to make a difference.
Mrs South Africa emphasises personal growth. Finalists take part in transformative workshops focused on public speaking, brand-building, and mentorship, all aimed at helping them find their voice and inspire positive change in their communities.
For Manis, this journey is deeply personal. She is excited about the potential to uplift ot-
hers, particularly learners with intellectual and learning challenges. “I want to ensure these students are understood and supported, especially when it comes to their mental health and that of those around them,” she said.
As the year unfolds, Manis and her fellow contestants will engage in several charity events, professional photoshoots, and skill-building se-
sions, leading up to the grand finale in November. But to achieve her dreams, she is reaching out for support from the community. She needs sponsorships and invites local businesses and individuals to consider partnering with her as an official semifinalist.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to align our goals and make a meaningful impact together.” Manis also asked the community to vote for her in the competition through SMS.
