In relation to the mob justice murder case, following the brutal killing of a 75-year-old woman in Ngcobo, two suspects have been arrested.

According to SAPS spokesperson Brigadier Nobuntu Gantana, the incident happened at Zadungeni A/A, Luthuthu Locality, where the 75-year-old Nokhansala Sidiki was killed yesterday morning, 17 May.

“A 26-year-old female and a 28-year-old female are currently in police custody,” she said, adding that more arrests are imminent.

“The investigation continues,” she said.

Gantana previously stated that Sidiki was accused of witchcraft, assaulted with a plank, and subsequently drowned. “Her body was found naked next to the stream with bruises to the head and face, as well as strangulation marks on the neck.”
