A sold-out charity golf day organised by Badisa has raised funds to support early childhood development initiatives across the Western Cape.
The Colour Your World Golf Day, held at Durbanville Golf Course at the end of March, brought together partners, sponsors and supporters in a four-ball alliance format. The event featured a unique culinary experience curated by the Feedem Group, described as a “wet hole” that took participants on a six-course themed journey across the golf course.
“This was about more than just food — it was about telling a story and aligning with a mission that brings real change to communities,” said the Feedem Group.
All proceeds from the golf day will strengthen Badisa’s early childhood development programmes, which support children and families in local communities.

Basie van Wyk, CEO of Badisa, emphasised the collaborative nature of the initiative. “This day shows what’s possible when people come together. Every contribution helps us make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.”
The event received backing from various sponsors, including VIA TV, Radio Tygerberg 104FM, Interisure and Old Mutual Insure, alongside multiple prize sponsors who contributed to the day’s success.
Marketing Director Adrie Jurgensen highlighted the importance of these partnerships in achieving the organisation’s community development goals.
Badisa has already scheduled next year’s golf day for 26 February. Companies interested in sponsoring or participating can contact the organisation early to secure their involvement.
