The social services organisation Badisa will host its 2026 conference and annual general meeting on Wednesday 9 September at Die Bron at Willowbridge Mall.
Under the theme “From paper to possibilities” the event will bring together NGOs, business leaders, community organisations, volunteers and supporters for a day of inspiration, networking and practical collaboration.
A simple sheet of paper can become a plan, a story, a solution or even a paper plane ready for take-off. That idea lies at the heart of this year’s conference, exploring how creativity, partnerships and shared purpose can transform today’s challenges into tomorrow’s possibilities.
Well-known South Africans
The programme features an exciting line-up of well-known South Africans, including musician Early B, Springbok Sevens player Jayden Nell, magician and actor Charles Tertiens, singer Leah, purpose coach and radio presenter Liomee Vosloo, business leader Ilana Steyn and Azelia Morkel, VIA TV channel head.
Delegates can look forward to engaging conversations on leadership, purpose, communication, networking and innovation. Sessions will explore why media matters, how meaningful relationships create lasting impact, and what the Springboks and Badisa have in common — from teamwork and resilience to the power of every individual contributing to something greater.

According to Adrie Jurgensen, director of communications, marketing and partnerships at Badisa, the conference is about creating opportunities that continue long after the day has ended.
“The greatest possibilities are rarely created alone. They happen when people from different sectors share ideas, build relationships and choose to work together.
“Whether you represent a business, an NGO or your local community, this conference is an opportunity to connect with people who believe that collaboration creates lasting impact. If you want to be part of shaping stronger communities, this is where your journey begins,” she says.
Supplier exhibition
The event will also feature a supplier exhibition, giving businesses the opportunity to showcase their products and services to delegates from across the Western Cape while building valuable relationships with one of the province’s largest social development organisations. Exhibition space is available at R5 000 per business. Badisa will also launch its latest annual report, sharing stories of innovation, resilience and hope from the people and communities at the heart of its work. The annual general meeting will reflect on the past year while looking ahead to the organisation’s future.
Whether you are a business looking to build meaningful partnerships, an NGO seeking fresh ideas, a volunteer wanting to make a difference, or someone passionate about stronger communities, “From paper to possibilities” promises to be a day of inspiration, connection and action.
Tickets at R150 per person are available on Quicket.
