Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge proudly congratulates Taylia Smith on her selection to represent South Africa at the Junior World Open Water Swimming Championships in Santa Fe, Argentina, from 3–6 September 2026.

Argentina’s open water tradition runs deep, having hosted 34 previous World Aquatics events, including Open Water Swimming World Cup stops and Ultramarathon Swim Series competitions. Recognised as one of the world’s top 10 open water swimming destinations, Santa Fe provides the perfect stage for this prestigious championship.

Competing in the 14–15 age group, Taylia Smith will face some of the world’s finest junior swimmers and showcase her talent, determination, and resilience on the international stage. Her achievement reflects years of dedication and training, and she carries the pride of her school, community, and country into the waters of Argentina.

With open water swimming’s popularity ever growing, Taylia’s journey is an inspiration—reminding us of the endless bounty of the world’s oceans, lakes, and rivers, and the courage it takes to compete at the highest level.
