Pietermaritzburg, KZN – St Charles College proudly announces an important milestone for our Pre‑Primary boys, affectionately known as the Scrummies. Earlier this week, they received their invitations to spend time in Year 1 this Friday. This marks the first step toward the next chapter of their school journey.

The transition from Scrummies into Year 1 is a significant moment filled with new classrooms, playgrounds, routines, and friendships to discover. While this exciting stage can bring questions and uncertainties, St Charles College is committed to ensuring that every boy feels confident, prepared, and supported.

By introducing the Scrummies to their new surroundings in advance, we aim to make the transition less daunting and more inspiring. Familiarity with their environment, teachers, and peers helps build belonging and readiness for success.

“We look forward to welcoming our future Year 1 boys on Friday and sharing in the excitement of this next step in their learning journey,” said Mrs Lauren Riley, Head of Junior Primary.
