South African Rowing Championships. Hilton College Rowing Shines at SA Championships.
At the South African Rowing Championships in Pretoria this past weekend, Hilton College delivered a series of outstanding performances.
- U16 Boys’ Single Sculls: Callum Dreyer claimed silver.
- U16 Boys’ Double Sculls: Dreyer and Luke Goodenough secured silver.
- U16 Boys’ Coxed Quad: Markus Steenkamp, Luke Goodenough, Callum Dreyer, Kai Davenport, and cox Otsile Moncho stormed to gold in a thrilling final, the highlight of the regatta.
And a huge shoutout to captain Lucas Pietersen, who gave everything in the U19 single scull and inspired the team throughout.
Well done, boys – and hats off to coach Ernie Steenkamp! Hilton pride at its best.
