Hermanus High School proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of Timothy Weaving (Grade 11) and his crew partner Hayden Miller (Grade 11). They secured 1st place in the U17 420 National Championship.
Championship Highlights
The prestigious regatta took place at Theewaters Sports Club on 25–26 September 2026 and brought together 16 competitive teams from across South Africa. Over eight demanding races, Timothy and Hayden showed exceptional skill, teamwork, and resilience, ultimately claiming the national title.
The 420 National Championship, organised under the auspices of the International 420 Class Association, is a premier annual sailing event showcasing the very best young talent in the country.
