GARDEN ROUTE – The Schoemanspoort near De Kombuys on the R328 to the Cango caves in the direction of Oudtshoorn is closed due to rock falls.
This warning was issued by the Garden Route Multi-agency command centre on 7 May. The area has been heavily affected by severe weather, with multiple reports indicating closures and hazardous conditions.
The route via Schoemanspoort is closed, and Cango Caves operations are suspended until further notice due to these conditions. Avoid the area and do not cross flooded roads.
