THE highly-anticipated Ibhayi Live Experience production will return for an even bigger offering next month – with two multi-award-winning headliners!
Event organisers Envuko MET announced the official lineup for the next instalment of Ibhayi Live Experience concerts.
The event is set to take place at The Boardwalk International Convention Centre on June 1, headlined by Zahara and Samthing Soweto, and featuring local artist, Thembi Mona, as the supporting act.
Fresh on the heels of the first successful event featuring Amanda Black on April 14, the series provides a stage for local artists to wow audiences.
Zahara has been a household name ever since the release of her smash hit, Loliwe, in 2011.
A showcase to look forward to is the renowned Samthing Soweto, who is currently featured on the SAMA-nominated album, Music is King, by Black Coffee.
Michael Brew, managing director of Envuko MET, said, “We remain committed to making Ibhayi Live Experience a platform to nurture our local Eastern Cape upcoming artists and showcase our stars to their people with pride.
“What many don’t know is that Thembi and Zahara are from Phumlani, in East London. They are still miles apart in their music careers but on June 1, they will be on the same stage and shining together.
“Samthing is the people’s choice and a diehard fan of the local Maxhosa clothing brand; we are happy that he could avail himself for our people.”
Ibhayi Live Experience will take place at The Boardwalk ICC on June 1 at 19:00.
Tickets range from R200 to R400 and are available through Computicket.
