IT was crunch time for Young Romans when they earned three points by defeating FC Angels 1-0 during their Motherwell Football Association (MOFA) Premier League game at Nelson Mandela Peace Park Ground on Saturday.

Both sides played exciting running football right from the beginning of the game. The goalkeepers were kept busy throughout the game. Romans claimed three points following a world-class goal that was banged in by Luthando Lindani, late in the game. Angels kept on promising to come up with an equaliser but failed to do so.

Shining Stars emerged as winners in their hard-fought 1-0 victory over SUBS. Lilitha Cuthalele sent a hotshot that beat SUBS’ goalkeeper. SUBS had to blame themselves as their strikers missed glorious opportunities. SUBS could have equalised but their goal was saved by the upright, with Stars’ goalkeeper well beaten.

Valencia FC returned to their winning ways and accumulated three points in their 2-0 triumph over Manchester United. Simthembile Sam and Khanyisa Mtana were the scorers.
