AS part of WESSA Algoa Bay Branch’s ongoing collaborative effort with Nelson Mandela University, to clear invasive alien vegetation in the NMU Nature Reserve following last year’s fires, they will again be conducting a clearing event at the Reserve on Saturday, November 3.

Participants will be briefed as to which species to concentrate on and how to pull out the small saplings, while also getting an opportunity to enjoy the lovely nature reserve.

Participants are also advised to bring a hat, some water, sturdy closed shoes and garden gloves.

The event starts at 10:00 and ends around 11:30. Everyone will meet at the parking area at the end of Springbok Road on the South Campus. To get there from Admiralty Way, drive all the way down University Way, under the university building, right to the end.

Turn right into Springbok Road. The parking area will be at the end of that road next to the nursery.
