Old Grey FC continue back-to-back wins

SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay (NMB) regional league champions Old Grey (OG) FC has continued to win their SAFA NMB Hollywoodbets Regional League games since the start of the 2024/25 season.

After five games in a row in Stream A, OGFC have collected 15 league points.

The Unicorns secured three league points after they thwarted Bay Tigers 3-0 at SAPS Main Ground in Mount Croix on Saturday. OGFC have set their sights on defending their league title.

Camper United suffered a narrow 2-1 home defeat to Red City FC during their Stream A clash at Motherwell NU 11 Stadium on Saturday.

Highland Spurs settled for a goalless draw when they hosted Real Madrid FC during their Stream A clash at Jabavu Stadium in KwaNobuhle on Saturday.

Another Stream A side that is a force to be reckoned with, EC Celtics FC, managed to bag three league points in their hard-fought 1-0 home victory over Roaring Tigers at Khayamnandi Community Fields in Despatch on Saturday.

The newcomers, Real Celtics FC, who are Stream B log leaders, earned a hard-fought 1-0 win when they overcame their neighbours, Despatch Pioneers FC, 1-0 at Khayamnandi Community Fields on Saturday as well. Dynamos FC, known as Amagugu, shared a draw with Madibaz Football in their four-goal thriller at Dynamos Grounds in KwaZakhele on Saturday. Fans were kept on their feet during another goal-thrilling clash when Royal Bucks FC played to a 4-4 draw against Khipu Major Chiefs Sports Club at Motherwell NU 11 Stadium on Saturday.

Continental FC aim for top NMB IFA League spot

CONTINENTAL FC collected six maximum league points in their two games at Struandale Grounds on Sunday.

Continental FC embarrassed Coega Dairy 8-1 in their Nelson Mandela Bay Industrial Football Association (MNB IFA) League first game. Continental FC also snatched another easy 5-1 triumph from Aspen FC. Aspen had finished the league campaign following their good start to the season. Aspen is in the fourth position on the league log table with 48 points.

Continental FC has 53 league points and is seated in the third position, having equal league points to the second-placed Durr Africa FC, who finished the season with a better goal average.

Durr Africa accumulated a narrow 3-2 win from Heineken Distell FC during their game at Dana Grounds in Kariega.

The most-improved Fomoco Ford, who would like to finish in the 12th position, secured a close-margin 4-3 victory when they battled it out with Eberspacher FC at Despatch Rugby Stadium on Sunday. Kanu FC registered an easy 3-1 triumph over Adient PPC FC at Shatterprufe Grounds.

Shatterprufe Struandale failed to avail themselves to play their home game against Forvia Port Elizabeth.

CRH FC handed a 3-0 defeat to BKB at Dana Grounds. Dana Spicer drubbed Coega Dairy 2-0. To the dismay of Borbet supporters, their side lost the game on soft points as they did not turn up for their game at Dana Grounds.

Black Vultures FC tame Lion City FC in MOFA Premier League clash

WELLS Estate outfit, Black Vultures FC, managed to tame the gutsy Lion City FC with a clinical 1-0 victory during their Motherwell Football Association (MOFA) Premier League clash at Motherwell NU 11 Stadium on Sunday.

Both sides had goal-scoring chances in abundance in the first half, but the second half was a more eventful affair as the game turned into an end-to-end battle.

The hearts of City supporters were broken after the long-awaited goal, which came courtesy of Vultures marksman, Anele Ace Ningi, in the 78th minute. Vultures defenders then kept things tight at the back. Vultures claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory.

Additionally, Vultures FC shared a 1-1 draw with Motherwell School of Excellence (MSE) FC at Motherwell NU 9 Stadium on Saturday.

City collected all three points in their 2-0 victory over Dema Development FC at Motherwell NU 9 Stadium on Saturday.

MOFA Premier League current runners-up, Valencia FC, collected only a single point in their doubleheader after salvaging a 1-1 draw with newcomers Bay Eagles FC at Motherwell NU 9 Stadium on Saturday. The Showvillage lads, under coaches Luthando Matiwane and Xolelani Ntamo, lost 1-0 to Young Madrid at Motherwell NU 11 Stadium on Sunday.
