Aspen FC maintain unbeaten record
AFTER playing seven matches since the start of the Nelson Mandela Bay Industrial Football Association League season, Aspen has yet to succumb to any opposition.
The team has collected 21 league points without drawing or losing a game. They were ruthless as they outplayed Shatterprufe Neave 5–1 at Shatterprufe Grounds in Struandale on Sunday.
The title chasers, Tenneco, saw Durr Africa hold them to a 3–3 draw at Jubilee Field 1 on Sunday as well.
CRH Africa played to a 2–2 draw against Heineken Distill at Shatterprufe Grounds on Sunday. Adient PPC was awarded soft-points over Conti-Tech who did not turn up for their game at Jubilee Field 1.
Following their 3–0 victory over Durr Africa, Continental thwarted Forvia Uitenhage 5–0 at Jubilee Field 1 on Sunday as well.
Fans saw two sides suffer huge defeats at Jubilee Field 2. Lemaitre trounced Fomoco Ford 4–2, while BKB went down 4–1 to Dairy Group. Borbet secured a narrow 4–3 victory over Willard Auto X.
Despite their 3–2 loss, Purem Eberspacher was unwilling to succumb to Dana Spicer at Dana Grounds. Benteler got soft-points from Kanu who failed to show up for their game.
After CRH Africa embarrassed them 8–1 a fortnight ago, Forvia Port Elizabeth earned a comprehensive 9–2 triumph over Hi-Tech Auto at Dana Grounds on Sunday as well.
Shining Stars set their sights on ZWIFA Premier League title
ZWIDE Football Association (ZWIFA) Premier League reigning champions, Shining Stars, keep on collecting points in their bid to defend their league title.
Stars won both their recent games. In the first, Stars managed to earn a hard-fought 2–1 win over Amadamara FC at Zwide Celtics Grounds on Saturday. Stars dug in deep to claim another tough 2–1 victory over Zwide Pirates on Sunday. The two recent victories guided Stars to cement their position at the top of the ZWIFA Premier League log table.
The new kids on the block, and title contenders, Mwalimu All Stars, were caught by surprise by Umanyano Stars who held them to a goalless draw at Zwide Celtics Grounds on Saturday. Mwalimu raised the bar after they defeated Real Crusaders 3–1 at Shining Stars Grounds on Sunday.
Strikers United lost two games in succession. Strikers went down 2–1 to Crusaders at Shining Stars on Saturday and continued their dismal performance with a 3–1 defeat to Kuyasa United Brothers at Zwide Celtics Grounds on Sunday.

Young Teenagers’ supporters saw their side fail to collect the maximum league points as they succumbed 3–1 to the log leaders Young Aces on Saturday.
PEEFA Premier League title chasers, Peace Lovers, struggled to register a close 3–2 triumph over other league title contenders, Mighty Warriors, on Saturday.
One of PEEFA Premier League’s oldest sides, Real Aces, who were struggling to win matches over the past couple of weeks, collected the much-needed three league points from United Eleven Brothers 3–1 during their game on Sunday.
PEEFA Premier League defending champions United Brothers took Golden Stars to the cleaners after thrashing them 3–0 on Sunday as well.

NORTHERN Areas Football Areas (NAFA) Premier and Premier Reserve League games were played at different venues recently.
Fairview Rovers Premier League Reserves had the better of Apex Premier League Reserves in their 2–1 victory at Marock Rd Field 2 on Saturday.
Shamrocks Premier League Reserves shared a 2–2 draw with Fairdene Premier League Reserves at Marock Road Field 1 on Saturday. Bloom Callies supporters were amazed to see their premier league reserve side suffer a 5–1 defeat to Premier Reserves Stream A log leaders, West Lake, at Helenvale Grounds.

Stardrift FC claimed a hard 1–0 win over Windvogel All Stars during their premier league match at Marock Rd Field 1 on Saturday.
