Bisho Stars win Wells Estate derby
BISHO Stars won 1–0 when they tackled neighbouring Black Vultures during their Motherwell Football Association (MOFA) Premier League Wells Estate Derby at Motherwell NU 11 Stadium on Saturday.
With just five minutes left, Bomibethu Fina made a good assist at the right time helping Stars striker Athenkosi Bongo score a long-awaited goal. It was a thrilling clash that kept the spectators on their feet.
The struggling Manchester United FC made their supporters happy on Saturday after they salvaged an all-important 1–0 victory over Arsenal FC in their bid to move away from the bottom of MOFA Premier League log table.
Royal Bucks continued the dismal performance in their double header, going down 6–2 to title chasers Lion City at Motherwell NU 9 Stadium on Saturday. Black Vultures rubbed salt in their wounds as they handed out a 5–0 defeat at Motherwell NU 11 Stadium on Sunday.
In an exhilarating MOFA First Division clash, Seven Sundowns Sports Club disappointed the log leaders Lion City 1–0 at Motherwell NU 9 on Saturday. Liverpool FC shared the goalless draw when they were up against Dema Development at Motherwell NU 11 Stadium on Friday. Bay Eagles also secured a 2–1 win over Vultures at Motherwell NU 9 on Saturday.

Bucks draw with Camper in M’well derby
Royal Bucks and title contenders Camper United played football of high standard in their goalless draw during the SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay Hollywood Bets Regional League clash at Motherwell NU 11 Stadium on Saturday.
Seasoned Camper skipper, Siyabulela Chippa Tsewana, together with Sakhiwo Nkewana, and Thozamile Magwala, combined well in the mid-field. Camper’s skilful Siyamthanda Davids was strong on offence on the right flank, but Royal Bucks’ goalkeeper, Jack Abrahams, was on top of his game.
Experienced Bucks mid-fielder, Mcebisi Fire Gawulana, made good passes to Asive Hewana, Sibahle Nkosana, and Sinempilo Sifunda. Bucks’ striker, Anele Majola, nearly found the back of the net in the 75th minute, but his efforts went over the crossbar.
Finally, the game that drew hundreds of spectators from all corners of Motherwell ended in a goalless draw, a true reflection of the game.
The log leaders, Old Grey FC, shared a 1–1 draw with Madibaz Football at SAPS Main Grounds in Mount Croix on Saturday.
Other title contenders Khipu Major Chiefs Sports drew 1–1 with New Brighton Academy at Chevrolet Stadium in New Brighton on Saturday. The struggling Bay Tigers lost 3–2 to the high-riding Stinging Bees at Chevrolet Stadium, also on Saturday.

Fans saw tough sides suffer some surprises during the Kuyga Football Association Premier League games in Greenbushes over the weekend.
Young Ideas suffered a 4–1 loss when they faced Eleven Wizards at Kuyga Fields on Saturday. The supporters of Golden FC whimpered after Valentino defeated their side 2–0 during their tough clash at Kuyga Fields on Saturday. Mighty Chiefs took Mighty Bayern to the cleaners after they thumped them 8–4 at Kuyga Fields on Saturday as well.
Coming from a 4–1 loss against Wizards on Saturday, Ideas restored their dignity with a comprehensive 5–3 victory over the tough St Alban’s FC at Kuyga Fields on Sunday.
The defending league champions, and current log-leaders, Futures FC, who secured an away 3–2 win over Ikamva Academy at St Alban’s Primary School Fields on Saturday, suffered their second defeat of the season after Wizards beat them 1–0 during their nail biting clash at Kuyga Fields on Sunday.
M Chiefs hammered the tough Blue Aces 3–1 at Kuyga Fields on Saturday as well. In the game that looked like a cat-fight, M Chiefs were held to a 2–2 draw by Golden FC at Kuyga Fields, also on Saturday.
Teams bag six points in PEEFA Premier League games
To the delight of their loyal supporters, several sides claimed six points during Port Elizabeth East Football Association (PEEFA) Premier League games at Veeplaas Turf Stadium, and at Mawabo Dyubhele Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in KwaDwesi over the weekend.
Young Teenagers, known as Amachina, defeated PEEFA Premier League reigning champions United Brothers 3–2 during their tough encounter at Veeplaas on Saturday, and were victorious in their 2–1 win over Red City at Mawabo Dyubhele Multi-Purpose Sports Complex on Sunday.
Veeplaas Golden Stars registered a 2–0 win over Red City Mawabo Dyubhele Multi-Purpose Sports Complex on Saturday, while on Sunday Stars overcame their neighbours, Real Aces, 3–2 at Veeplaas Turf Stadium.
Real Lions drubbed Joe Slovo Golden Stars 4–1 during their one-sided affair on Saturday, and handed Forresters a 3–1 defeat on Sunday.
United Eleven Brothers were twice unlucky as they were embarrassed 3–0 by Young Aces at Mawabo Dyubhele Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in KwaDwesi on Saturday, and United Brothers defeated them 4–0 at Veeplaas Turf Stadium on Sunday.
Hillside United FC supporters saw their side fail to collect points in both their games. Real Aces beat United 5–4, and the Joe Slovo side went down 2–1 to the title chasers Mighty Warriors, with both games played at Veeplaas Turf Stadium on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
Mighty Birds were held to a 2–2 draw by Peace Lovers at Veeplaas Turf Stadium on Saturday. Peace Lovers cruised to an easy 9–0 victory over Joe Slovo Golden Stars.
Young Aces were awarded soft points after their opponents, Soweto Eleven FC, failed to show up for their match on Saturday.
