The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to inform
residents that water supply at the Emerald Hill reservoir is still very low this
morning (Saturday, May 8).
Parts of Nelson Mandela Bay will be experiencing water disruptions over the weekend.
“We had hoped that it would pick up overnight, but it is
still struggling. Overnight, the reservoir’s level increased from 2% to 3%,” a municipality
statement read.
“We anticipate water disruption over the weekend based on
this trend.”
The following areas will be affected:
Walmer Heights
Charlo
Greenshields
Walmer Downs
Fairview
Fern Glen
Newton park
Greenacres
Information on the location of water tankers will be posted
separately.
