MOTHERWELL-BASED side, Volcano Ladies’ FC, played very impressive football in their first game of the Sasol League Coastal Stream, resulting in their 11-0 win over the BC Stars Ladies’ FC, at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium, on Saturday.

Volcano showed that they meant business when they found a back of the net, courtesy of Baluyolo ‘Taka Boy’ Macezu, in the 15th minute.

Playing under their new head coach, Nkosinathi Reason Fountain, Siphosethu Nojoko was rewarded with a top-notch goal in the 23rd minute, while Sikelelwa Sikie Mhlanga increased her side’s first half score with her beautiful goal in the 45th minute.

It seemed as if the floodgates were opened, as Macezu scored two more goals in the 54th and 56th minutes. Mhlanga banged in three goals in the space of six minutes.

Volcano, therefore, increased their lead to 8-0. Busisiwe Tancu registered her goal in the 75th minute. Yomelela Jacobs struck a powerful shot that beat the visitors’ goalkeeper in the 85th minute.

Jacobs scored the 11th goal of the game in the 89th minute. Meanwhile Volcano’s goalkeeper seemed to be on holiday as the visitors did keep her busy.
