ACCLAIMED violinist David Bester, senior lecturer at Nelson Mandela University and concertmaster of the Eastern Cape Philharmonic Orchestra, will present a series of public masterclasses for the first time in Port Elizabeth.
These will be open to violinists of all ages, playing level grade 5 and higher.
Observers, especially music teachers and instrumentalists, will find the classes interesting and relevant.
Students are encouraged to bring any kind of repertoire or technical work.
There will be opportunities for observers and students to ask questions and get feedback throughout.

There are limited slots available, so early booking is essential.
The masterclasses will be presented at Nelson Mandela University’s Bird Street Campus (Music Building) on Friday, May 10 (14:00 to 17:00), and Saturday, May 11 (09:00 to 16:00).
Technique booklets will also be on sale at the venue.
