Veeplas Masters are ready to make history, as they take on Young Pirates during the Nelson Mandela Bay Masters & Legends Association inaugural finals that will be played at Veeplaas Turf Stadium on Sunday at 12:00.

Apparently Veeplaas once faced AmaUnits during the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Mayoral Cup finals that they lost at Adcock Stadium in Korsten many years ago.

According to Veeplaas head coach, Sikhumbuzo Ronaldo Nodongwe, his boys would like to see their name engraved on the knockout trophy.

Pirates will not be an easy side to face, although they will be playing away from home. In their last game, the sides played to a 2–2 draw during their exciting clash at Veeplaas Turf in June. All in all, the fans will have an exciting game on their hands. The losers’ final will be between Sparks Masters and Joe Slovo Masters at Veeplaas Turf Stadium at 10:00.

The winning side will go home with a floating trophy, 25 gold medals and a brand-new set of kit, while the runners-up will settle for 25 silver medals and new kit.

The promotions plate finals winning team will see themselves go home with 25 bronze medals.
