Queen Elizabeth II has tested positive for COVID-19, Buckingham Palace announced today, February 20.
This comes after she had reportedly been in contact with her eldest son, Prince Charles, two days before he too tested positive for the virus ten days ago.
According to a media statement issued by the monarchy, the 95-year-old Queen has mild cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week.
“She will continue to receive medical attention all will follow all the appropriate guidelines,” the statement read.
