TO the dismay of many soccer supporters, a number of teams failed to honour their fixtures in the women’s regional league on Saturday.

The hosting side, Tomorrow Stars, disappointed their loyal supporters when they failed to pitch up for their game against PE United on their home turf, Motherwell NU 9 Stadium.

United were awarded three league points.

Young Aces’ home supporters also saw their side being awarded maximum points after Kuyga Ladies failed to honour their game which was scheduled to take place at Mawabo Dyubhele Community Fields at KwaDwesi.

According to match commissioner Jacob Frolick, KUBS did not play against African Chiefs in Uitenhage because the local football association game was not finished by the time the women’s regional league game was supposed to start.

Frolick stated that KUBS refused to wait until the local football association match ended.

However, other games proceeded at various venues at the weekend.
