Six suspects were caught red-handed trying to break into a business premises in Deal Party last night, September 20, just before 22:00.
According to Atlas Security, their control room was called by a security guard who informed them of a burglary in progress at the premises.
“Atlas Security Armed Response Officers B81 and B32 arrived on the scene while the suspects were believed to still be inside the premises. It was confirmed that four suspects were in the process of breaking in when B81 called for backup,” the company said in a statement.
Atlas Security Armed Response officers B148 and B127 arrived at the scene to assist in apprehending the suspects. The four suspects were detained and questioned, when it came to light that there were two additional culprits in the neighbouring building.
“All six suspects were caught and detained until the SAPS arrived. The suspects were handed over and a case was opened.”
