MAKE a difference and enter this year’s Lake Farm Centre Charity Run and Ride events this weekend, Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24.

Visit their website, www.lakefarm.org.za and enter conveniently online. Lake Farm Centre have planned an action-packed weekend for the whole family, including road, trail running and mountain bike riding in a beautiful country setting.

Achilles Running Club, which has organised the run for many years, have planned the programme to cater for all ages and levels of fitness.

“We encourage families to come out to Lake Farm Centre for a superb outdoor outing, fresh air, exercise and tea treats, all for a great cause,” said Graham Channon, Achilles Club secretary, and long-term supporter of Lake Farm Centre.

Next weekend will be the 24th edition of the Charity Run and Ride, proudly sponsored by VWSA, Pam Golding Properties, Bukani, Adidas, Die Burger and Kingfisher FM.

On Saturday, road events include a 24km training run as well as the popular 10km and 5km routes. On the trail, entrants can choose between the family fun 2km walk or the popular 4km and 15km distances.

On Sunday, mountain bikers can choose between four distances, i.e. 3km or 6km for the kids, 14km and a 20km ride. All finishers receive unique handmade medals made by the Lake Farm Centre residents.

Visitors can relax to the sounds of the well-known Lake Farm Centre Band while enjoying the centre’s famous tea room’s scones and cream, pancakes, boerewors rolls and fresh farm market.
