THE Isuzu Foundation and Ironman 4 the Kidz are proud to continue their joint efforts in strengthening support for 13 registered Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) in the Eastern Cape.

The partnership, fuelled by the R158 000 raised from the Isuzu Ironman African Championship, Isuzu Ironman 70.3 Nelson Mandela Bay, and Isuzu Corporate Triathlon Challenge events, aims at making a significant impact in the lives of children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The funds raised through these events will be allocated towards crucial areas such as refurbishment of the charity homes, transportation fees, nutritional support, sports activities, medical expenses and, where feasible, capital projects. This support ensures that the registered NPOs continue their work in providing essential services and opportunities for children facing various challenges.

Among the organisations receiving support are:

. Eastern Province Youth Care Centre: Focused on holistic childcare and development programmes.

. Khayalethu Youth Centre: Providing care and intervention programmes for street children.

. Children’s Haven MTR Smit: Creating conditions for optimum child development.

. Heatherbank: Offering structured education programmes for children.

. Salem Baby Centre: Providing basic needs and economic empowerment for mothers.

. Oosterland Foundation: Empowering children with positive life experiences and skills.

. Daleview Foster Home: Ensuring comprehensive care and guidance for orphans.

. Siyakatala Child and Youth Centre: Caring for neglected, abused, and orphaned children.

. Eluxolweni Shelter: Nurturing and supporting boys without homes.

. Barcelona Feeding Scheme: Ensuring balanced meals for children in informal settlements.

. Kids of Tomorrow: Providing nutrition, education, and support for early childhood development.

. Mahlasedi Foundation: Delivering balanced meals to primary school learners.

. Early Birds Day Care: Offering early childhood development and education for youngsters.

“Isuzu Foundation, in collaboration with Ironman 4 the Kidz, remains committed to the well-being and development of children in the Eastern Cape. Through these collaborative efforts we aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most,” says Marcia Mayaba, Isuzu Department Executive, Dealer and Business Development South African Customs Union (SACU) Markets.

In Nelson Mandela Bay, Isuzu Foundation and Ironman 4 the Kidz have been actively involved in supporting local communities through various initiatives, from providing educational resources to nutritional support for children.
