MOTHERWELL-BASED soccer team, Swartkopsvalley United Brothers’ FC (SUBS) are counted among the sides that have not yet registered a victory since the start of the 2021 ABC Motsepe League season.
SUBS crashed to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Amavarara FC in their home game, at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium on Saturday.
SUBS failed to honour their game against Spear of the Nation FC at Mt Ayliff Stadium in eMaxesibeni on April 3.
They salvaged only a 1-1 home draw when they hosted FC Siyanda at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium on March 27. In essence, SUBS, as one of oldest provincial league campaigners, should go back to the drawing board to restore their dignity and earn recognition from their loyal supporters.
Bhisho Stars, who relocated to Motherwell this season, shared a goalless draw with Highbury FC at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium.
Bush Bucks went down 2-1 to their visitors and the log leaders, Spear of the Nation FC, at Jan Smuts Stadium in East London. The hosts, Tede, lost 5-4 to Sibiya All Stars at Bhisho Stadium.
Manchester United edged out PE Stars 2-0 at Derrick Mbele Stadium in Alexandria, while Addo’s Bush Pirates’ FC secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Port Elizabeth FC at Samkelo High School.
Matta Milan FC defeated Amampondo United, 1-0 at School of Excellence Grounds in Dutywa. Birmingham City were held to a 1-1 draw by Sinenkani FC at North End Stadium in East London.
