THE patron saint of Ireland, St Patrick, lived between 365 and 461AD, and his life has been celebrated in Ireland and around the world on March 17 for the past 463 years.
This year, St Patrick’s Day falls on the Sunday so the celebration will start on Saturday, March 16, at Eddie Mac’s VP Club from 19:30 until late evening.
Staying with the traditional music for the first two hours, well-known PE-based band the Bay City Rockers will again bring their skilled repertoire of traditional Irish sing-along pub songs to set the atmosphere.
The band will then switch to their ever-popular ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s rock ‘n’ roll set list thereafter to see the night out.
Entry is free if one comes dressed in Irish fashion or at least wearing a hat of some sort. Prizes will be up for grabs for the best dressed couples.
