From when we opened our doors in 2014, under the amazing leadership of our Executive head, Frans van der Walt, our school has grown from strength to strength, and we will continue in that upward direction with each passing year.
Curro Westbrook is an independent school in the new Westbrook Estate, accommodating learners from 3 months to Grade 12 in 2023. The campus is developing at a magnificent pace – with a current learner count of more than 700.
High School
The first Phase of our High School facility has been completed and we will accommodate the continued growth in learner numbers that we are experiencing.
We currently support Grade 8-11, each with a maximum capacity of 25 learners per class, and we are looking forward to extending our offering to Grade 12 in 2023.
The High School development will continue to support this annual growth towards becoming a “One of a kind” High School in the metro. We offer an extensive subject offering that ensures each learner is able to pursue a path that supports their personal interests as much as possible.
If a subject cannot be offered face-to-face, then the curriculum is further supplemented with an online subject offering that is still facilitated on-site.
Some of the academic value-adds include a fully equipped modern-feel science lab, an IT lab kitted out with modern technology, a STEAMD classroom (equipped with Drones, 3D Printers, Laser Cutters and Virtual Reality), and a dedicated Visual Arts classroom.
Each subject offers its own unique specialisation and our dedicated teachers and well-rounded approach prepare learners for the IEB examinations at the end of Grade 12.
The enriched academic curriculum is actively supplemented by traditional sporting and cultural extra-murals, as well as a strong focus on the development of strong leadership potential in all of our learners. Our goal is to have our learners become assets to their communities and step into their tertiary studies brimming with confidence and a love for learning.
