POPULAR comedian Skhumba Hlope brings his brand of raw humour to the The Boardwalk International Convention centre on Saturday, May 18, with his brand new one-man special, #IMeanBizniss.

Hlope has become a household name thanks to his role as Bheki in SABC1’s comedy series, Thandeka’s Diary and as host of Good Friday with Skhumba and Ndumiso on Kaya FM.

He also co-hosts Change Down on Mzansi Magic, with Boity Thulo.

But it is stand-up comedy that really drives him.

He jokes about everything from politics to celebrities, nothing is off-limits.

Although Hlope is sometimes misunderstood, he never allows anyone to keep him down.

His character is not easily offended, a real go-getter who always gets back up when he has fallen down.

He states boldly that one of his greatest achievements is Walk This Way with Skhumba, which is his annual wheelchair drive, started in 2016.

The wheelchairs are donated to those in need.

Hlope is the most nominated comedian for the Savanna Comic’s Choice Awards, boasting another four category nominations this year.

And with all the recognition he is getting from the industry and his followers, it is befitting that he has called his brand new one-man special, #IMeanBizniss, because it shows that not only does he take his craft seriously but that the industry and his fans take him seriously and recognise his passion.

Tickets are priced from R165 per person and are available from Computicket and all Shoprite/Checkers outlets.

The show starts at 20:00.
