Springbok captain Siya Kolisi has been named by PE Express readers as their favourite sports star, with Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams taking second position.
Kolisi, who was born in Zwide, Gqeberha, made history by becoming the first black captain of the Springboks. This former Grey High School learner rose from a challenging childhood to achieve international acclaim. He is celebrated not only for his athletic prowess but also for his leadership and inspirational story. Off the field, he and his wife Rachel, through the Kolisi Foundation, are involved in various charitable activities, aiming to uplift underprivileged communities.
Ronwen Williams, a goalkeeper for Bafana Bafana as well as Mamelodi Sundowns, is known for his agility and shot-stopping abilities, which have earned him numerous accolades.
