AWARD-WINNING vernacular comedian, Sifiso Nene, has rounded up a group of his funniest friends to unleash their special blend of standup at The Boardwalk on Friday, October 26.

Nene’s Combo Comedy show features the likes of Siya Seya, Stop Nonsense and Siya B.

Described as a man of shy character, he has blown away many provinces with his vernac comedy and was also announced the first-ever winner of reality TV competition, So You Think You’re Funny. Since then he has kept his winning streak alive.

He not only won an award at the SATMAS for the best indigenous comedian but has for two years in a row won the Comics Choice Award, which is voted for by the audience. A highlight of the show is fast rising funnyman, Tumi Stop Nonsense aka Jumaima, who found instant fame with his parody video of the SABC show, Khumbulekhaya.

Actor and comedian, Siya B has held lead roles in television shows such as SABC 1’s A Place Called Home and Home Affairs and e.tv’s prime time soapie, Rhythm City.

Seya moved from the Eastern Cape to Johannesburg to pursue a career in comedy, with just enough money for rent for a month.

He quickly got the attention of comedians Skhumba, David Kau, Kedibone Mulaudzi and Mashabela and found his way on to comedy tours.

Tickets for the Combo Comedy show are available from Computicket at R170 per person.

The show starts at 20:00.
