Several parts of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro have been experiencing power outages for the most part of today, August 20.
According to the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, electricity supply was lost in sections of Malabar, Gelvandale, Windvogel, Hillside and surrounding areas. Around the same time, power outages also struck Driftsands, Fitchet Corner, Geduldrivier and Lovemore Park.
At approximately 13:30 today, a power outage also affected Tembani, Butterfield, Greensbushes, Little Chelsea and a section of Draaifontein.
“Staff are attending to restoration of supply, there is no timeframe,” the municipality said.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
