HIS latest single has been making waves and was viewed more than 1 000 times on YouTube in only four days.
Ruan van der Kuil is flying the Gqeberha flag high while continuing to make a name for himself in the music industry.
An IBEntertainment artist, who hails from Nelson Mandela Bay, Ruan’s latest single Pak die Vuur, is making headlines.
He performs as a singer and master of ceremonies throughout the Eastern Cape, as well as other parts of the country. He’s been singing since he was young and also writes his own songs.
IBE was looking for a young energetic artist who could place them in the Afrikaans light pop and “sokkie” market, which is when they crossed paths with Van der Kuil.
There are big things coming for this talented singer.
His previous hit, Met my Vellies Aan (his first single), and Skokgolf, were written by renowned songwriter and director, Werner Beukes, commissioned by IBE. Met my Vellies aan is already being played on several radio stations.
And if you want to see him live, you’ll get a chance in 2023 when he forms part of the entertainment line-up for the Rugby Cruise.
The Rugby Boat will be sailing from Durban to the Portuguese Island from February 24 to 27.
Some of the other celebrities who will be on the boat (the MSC Orchestra) are Robbie Wessels, and Nadine and Rudi Claase, as part of the entertainment line-up, while the rugby personalities include Pieter de Villiers, Naas Botha, Victor Matfield, Danie Gerber, Jannie du Plessis and Schalk Burger.
