The team has 20 years’ experience in the local market, first at Trend Tap & Tile, and now at Floor & Decor.
Owner Mohammed Saley opened Floor & Decor in September 2021, and welcomed the Trend Tap & Tile staff when their doors closed for the last time.
For Saley and his team, Luyanda Mdolomba, Piet Ngobeni, Ishaaq Laher, Joyce Mavela, Uncle Iqbal Gani, Michelle Hancox, Fura Katoo and Luthando Swartbooi, it’s been business as usual the whole way.
From tiles, carpet, vinyl and laminated flooring, to gym flooring, decking and artificial grass, it can all be found in the same convenient location in Roshan Street, Linton Grange.
They do cornices and skirtings as well, and have also added plumbing and a blinds and shutters department to their offerings.
“Plumbing is entirely new to us. For contractors, builders, and even the DIYers, it’s much more convenient for everything to be in one place,” said Saley. “Change is good. It’s exciting.”

“We’ve been in the business for so long, we’ve built up a good clientele and a lot of people know us. All the same people you’ve come to know over the years, and the relationships, they’re still here.”
