SUPPORTERS of Saints FC were overjoyed when their side lifted the Northern Areas Football Association (NAFA) 50th Anniversary Easter Soccer Festival trophy at Gelvandale Stadium on Monday. Saints celebrated a 2–0 victory over their rivals, Apex United.

In the semi-finals, Saints FC were given a run for their money as they defeated Glenville Celtic 4–0 in a penalty shootout.

The team then faced a gallant Windvogel All Stars in their semi-finals, but Apex won the game 6–0 in sudden death, after a goalless draw.

In the finals, Saints FC made their supporters proud after their side lifted the trophy in their 2–0 victory over Apex United.

Saints FC supporters saw their side take home R25 000 in prize money, 20 gold medals and a floating trophy.

Following their 3–1 victory in the losers’ finals, Windvogel All Stars received R8 000, while Glenville Celtic received a sum of R4 000.
