SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay has taken the decision to postpone the COSAFA Legacy U/15 Boys’ Tournament, which was scheduled to take place at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium from December 5 to 6.

SAFA NMB regional executive officer, Nwabisa Mavuso, stated that the reason for postponing the tournament was due to the rise in COVID-19 infections in the Nelson Mandela Bay region.

Mavuso said, “SAFA NMB has decided to postpone the tournament because our region has many cases of people infected with the coronavirus.

“Therefore, our major concern is the health of our people. The tournament is postponed until further notice.”

The local football associations (LFAs) which were planning on taking part in the tournament, were Motherwell (MOFA), New Brighton (NEBFA), PE North (PENFA), Langa-Rosedale (LAROFA), Northern Areas (NAFA), Walmer (WAFA), PE East (PEEFA), Nobuhle-Despatch (NODEFA) and Zwide (ZWIFA) football associations.
