SEVEN belly dancing studios from all over the country will come together in Nelson Mandela Bay this Saturday for a gala show in aid of the Animal Anti-Cruelty League.
The studios, that have agreed to do the show free of charge, are Belly Phunk Belly Dancers from Cape Town, Beli-Zimo Belly Dancers from Knysna, Kore Tribal Dancers and Desert Divas Belly Dancers from East London, Fellas Belly Dancers from Port Alfred/Bathurst, and Rakshada Belly Dancers and Nuline Line Dancers from Port Elizabeth.
Joining them on stage are local performers George White (Latin guitarist) Brian Pagan (African drummer) and Elston Benjamin (singer).
Members of the audience are asked to bring along dog food, cat food or blankets in support of the AACL.
The African Tribal and Saiidi Gala Show will take place at the Londt Park Sports Club in Fernglen, on Saturday, May 11, at 17:30 for 18:00.
Entry is R120 per adult and R60 per child and includes a meal. Bar facilities will be available.
