Silvia Wittal (45), who disappeared nearly three years ago, may finally be found. SAPS discovered the remains of a female on the Sacramento Trail in Schoenmakerskop on December 1.
According to police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge, the discovery was made at about 09:00.
He said it is suspected that these remains belong to the Wittal, who has been missing since December 30, 2021.
“After an extensive search for three years, she was never found, but the new discovery could be the breakthrough in the mystery.
“The partial remains, which include a skull, as well as personal belongings of Wittal, were found.
“DNA testing and further forensic analysis of the remains and belonging will be conducted in order to confirm the identity of the deceased person,” he reported.
