
Port Elizabeth police are seeking the community’s assistance
in tracing the next of kin of three alleged murder victims in separate
incidents on Sunday, February 21.
According to police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu, the body of a man, believed to be between 20 and 30-years-old was found
lying on his back in Kohler Road in Perseverance just before 6:00 on Sunday.
The deceased had sustained multiple injuries to his head and
was wearing blue jeans and a blue striped t-shirt.
Two hours later, members discovered the body of a man
approximately 30-years-old, in an open veld in Ciko Street in NU5 Motherwell.
“He sustained multiple injuries to his body and it’s suspect
that he might have been dumped there.He was wearing a grey t-shirt with black
jeans,” Naidu said.
Meanwhile, in the third incident at about 21:00 on Sunday,
police responded to a shooting at the corners of Dana and Mali Street in
Kwanobuhle where the body of a man who sustained a gunshot wound to his neck
was found.
“He is believed to be in his late 20’s and was well dressed,
wearing white Nike takkies, dark jeans, a Relay cap, and a black and red
jacket. His cell phone was still in his possession.”
Naidu said that the murders are not related.
