GQEBERHA – SAPS Kabega Park detectives urgently seek the next of kin of an unknown pedestrian following a fatal accident on the N2 near the Van Stadens turn-off. The incident occurred on Saturday, 6 December 2025.

According to SAPS spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, information gathered at the scene indicated that at approximately 04:20, SAPS Kabega Park responded to a report of an accident on the N2.

“A pedestrian crossed the road and was struck by a vehicle, and she died at the scene due to her injuries,” she said. “The pedestrian is a coloured female between the ages of 30 and 40.”

Janse Van Rensburg added that the deceased was wearing a pink dress and had a tattoo of a rose on her left shoulder, a flower on her right thigh, and on the left arm the word “Cybel.”

The pedestrian’s identity is unknown, and relatives or anyone from the community are urged to contact the investigating officer to assist with her identification

A culpable homicide case has been opened and is under investigation.
