Police in Nelson Mandela Bay District are seeking murder suspects in separate incidents within the metro.

It is alleged that during the early hours of this morning, 21/03 at about 00:30, four men entered a shack at the backyard of a house in Flamelilly Street in Sanctor looking for a person.

According to Col Priscilla Naidu, police spokesperson, when the 30-year-old victim informed them that such a person is unknown, he was shot multiple times. “The suspects fled the scene. The deceased was identified as Gregory Banor. The motive is unknown and the incident is not gang-related,” Naidu said.

In another incident, a 26-year-old man was found lying in Kamma Street in Korsten with a gunshot wound to his head. “It is alleged that at about 23:30 last night, 20 March, residents heard the sound of gunfire and later found Shivago Petrus from Kamma Street fatally wounded. At this stage the motive and circumstances surrounding his death is unknown.”

A case of murder is being investigated.
