SAPS Bethelsdorp detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing a 47-year-old woman who went missing on Thursday, February 1. 

According to police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, it is alleged that at approximately 09:30, a family member who resides on Hidge Street, Saltlake, noticed that Maria Jacobs, was not home.

” She is from Cape St Francis and usually goes to Gqeberha for business.

” It was further alleged that she had a mental breakdown and often forgets where she needs to be.  She is not familiar with the area, and the family searched the surrounding areas, but they were unable to trace her,” said Janse Van Rensburg. 

” At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a blue long sleeve Uzzi top, with a grey T -shirt and a black pants,” she added. 

Police are appealing to anyone who can assist in tracing Ms. Maria Jacobs to contact SAPS Bethelsdorp on D/Sgt Isaacs on 061 881 2336 or on 082 697 5979 Crime Stop 08600 10111 or their nearest police station.
