Bethelsdorp detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing the suspects allegedly involved in the murder of two males and the attempted murder of three men early this morning, Friday, July 9.

Two men were murdered and three wounded in Bethelsdorp this morning, Friday, July 9.

It is alleged that at about 04:30, approximately six or seven unknown males were looking for one of the victims in Qunu in the Bethelsdorp area. Shortly after that, gunshots were heard at a house. Two males, aged 21 and 32 years old, were found fatally wounded inside a house while three other males aged between 22 and 26 years old, were wounded.

Police spokesperson, Col. Priscilla Naidu, said that the wounded victims were taken to hospital for treatment. “Names of the deceased are withheld until their next-of-kin have been notified. The motive for the shootings and suspects are unknown at this stage,” she said.
