The Just Different, Not Less organisation aims to advocate for the acceptance and embracing of neurodiversity. This performance is inspired by the story of Jabulani ‘JR’ Nkosi, a self-taught pianist living with autism, who received an Ovation Award at the Makhanda National Arts Festival for his performance titled ‘I am Autistic but I CAN’. JR has also performed at various festivals, like Macufe Homebrew, Berlin November, Umthiza Festival, Ncerha Festival and some restaurants in Gauteng. He has wowed the crowds with his renditions of music pieces from Michael Jackson, Akon, Adele, Freshlyground, Abdullah Ibrahim, Ringo, Stompi Mavi, and Amanda Black. On Saturday, March 2, he will host a drama and music concert at the Mendi Arts Centre in New Brighton, Gqeberha. Early bird tickets cost R150 at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers, and R200 at the door. Photo:SUPPLIED
