KUGOMPO – The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, known as the Hawks, has appealed to the public for help in locating a person of interest linked to an alleged human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation case in the Eastern Cape.

Hawks spokesperson Warrant Officer Ndiphiwe Mhlakuvana said investigators are searching for 30-year-old Yonela Sapepa, who may have information that could assist the investigation.

She was reportedly last seen in KuGompo, Mthatha and Gqeberha.

The investigation centres on an alleged trafficking network operating in KuGompo. The Hawks have urged Sapepa to report to the nearest police station or contact investigators directly.

Members of the public with information about her whereabouts are also encouraged to come forward.
