FANS were treated to soccer of a high standard when Port Elizabeth East Football Association (PEEFA) Premier League hosted matches at Veeplaas Turf Stadium on Saturday.
Young Aces faced reigning champions United Brothers in their tough encounter that ended in a goalless draw. Mighty Birds played to a 2–2 draw against Real Aces; Peace Lovers earned a hard-fought 2–1 victory when they locked horns with the gutsy Red City FC; Real Lion FC were triumphant over Young Bucks 2–0.
In PEEFA First Division games:
Forresters were ruthless when they delivered a 6–1 defeat to Blackburn United FC. Zwide Citizens FC were on the receiving end again when their loyal supporters saw them outplayed 6–1 by Leeds United. Extension United were taken to the cleaners by Power Stars, after suffering a huge 8–1 defeat. Hillside United, who looked forward to winning the PEEFA First Division title, faced Tiger Boys during their tough encounter that ended in a 2–2 draw.
